MEDIA RELEASE: Tioga County Public Health Publishes Community Health Assessment (CHA) to Guide Future Initiatives

Last Updated: 1/12/2026

Tioga County Public Health has completed and released the Tioga County Community Health Assessment (CHA) for 2025-2030.  A Community Health Assessment identifies the county’s most important health needs and strengths. It uses data and community input to guide planning, set priorities, and help Tioga County Public Health focus resources where they can make the biggest impact.

The 2025–2030 Community Health Assessment provides a comprehensive analysis of the county’s most significant health needs. It incorporates data from multiple sources, including more than 900 responses to the “My Health Story” survey completed by Tioga County residents in the summer of 2025. This input helped identify priority health issues, community perceptions, and factors influencing overall well‑being. The assessment examines Tioga County’s health behaviors, health outcomes, physical environment, access to care, emerging trends, and highlights specific areas where data indicates heightened concern.

Tioga County Public Health will use the findings from the Community Health Assessment to guide strategic planning and strengthen partnerships across the community. The insights gained will support targeted initiatives, inform future programs, and help ensure that resources are directed where they are needed most. By grounding decisions in data and community voices, Tioga County is better positioned to improve health outcomes and promote long‑term well‑being for all residents.
